Galaxy S4 Google Edition users who've already updated their devices to Android 4.3 and are looking for a root technique might follow our step-by-step guide. The tutorial makes use of CF-Auto-Root file released by recognised XDA developer, Chainfire. The CF-Auto-Root is said to be one of many most secure root methods accessible so far.
The CF-Auto-Root package, as the developer notes, has been designed to install and allow SuperSU on the device, in order that apps can achieve root access. Moreover, it already has inventory restoration installed. Head over to the development thread to be taught more about the root release.
One of the key features of the CF-Auto-Root is it's firmware independent; it fully supports Android 4.three Jelly Bean and future firmware as well.
Pre-requisites
1) Install USB driver for Samsung galaxy S4 to transfer files between the Android device and the computer.
2) Enable USB Debugging Mode on phone to connect the Android device with the computer and use Android SDK with it. [Press Menu>> Settings>> Applications. From there navigate and click on Development option then check the USB Debugging Mode.]
3) As the tutorial might wipe out all data of the Galaxy device, create a backup. If the device is having any custom recoveries such as CWM/TWRP installed then backup the data using the recovery.
4) The Galaxy S4 should have above 80% battery charge.
5) The device should be factory unlocked and not locked to a particular carrier.
6) The phone will lose its manufacturer's warranty once it is rooted but users can reclaim the warranty back by unrooting the device later.
7) The CF-Auto-Root file works only on Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505G. As applying this to any incorrect variant might brick the device, verify the model number of the Galaxy S4 Plus by selecting Settings>> About phone>> Model number.
