How to Root Nexus 10 and Galaxy Nexus on All Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Firmware via SuperSU v1.50

Step 1 - Copy the downloaded SuperSU v1.50 (UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.50.zip) file to the root folder on tablet.

Step 2 - Power off the tablet.

Step 3 - Download CWM Recovery 6.0.3.1 or TWRP 2.6.0.0 (if not already installed) and copy/paste it to the android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools directory on computer.

NOTE: Use any of the two custom recoveries: CWM or TWRP on trial basis. If one fails to work, try the other.

Step 4 - Boot the Nexus tablet into Fastboot Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down and Power keys together until some text appears on screen. This confirms entry into Bootloader Mode.

Step 5 - Browse to android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools directory and launch Command Prompt (hold Shift and Right-click on desktop and then choose Open Command Prompt).

Step 6 - Type in the following command and press Enter.

fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.1-grouper.img

Step 7 - Once the command is executed, choose RECOVERY from Fastboot menu and enter Recovery Mode.

Step 8 - In recovery, browse to Flash Zip from SD card option and hit Power button to select it.

Step 9 - Tap Power button again and click Choose Zip from SD card.

Step 10 - Use volume keys to navigate to the UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.50.zip file that you copied earlier to tablet and select it by tapping Power button. Confirm the root installation on next screen and the installation process will begin.

Step 11- Once the root installation is done, select "+++++Go Back" and perform Wipe Cache Partition and Wipe Dalvik Cache from advance option. Finally, tap Reboot System Now from the recovery menu. The tablet will now reboot into the newly installed firmware with root access.

Your Nexus tablet is now rooted on Android 4.3 official Jelly Bean firmware with CWM recovery installed. Check for the SuperSU app in device apps list to verify. Download and install Root Checker app to verify if root installation is successful.
